My name is Peri, and I am a 15-year-old high school student living in NYC. I have a very tight knit family and sometimes our favorite thing to do is just to hang out at home. I love laughing while watching Adam Sandler movies, and I am captivated by the magic of Harry Potter. I like trying new foods and going on serendipitous dessert tours in my neighborhood. I love traveling, learning languages, and spending time with my friends. You would never know, but  I was born with a congenital heart defect (CHD) called Tetralogy of Fallot. 

The doctors discovered this CHD before I left the hospital when I was born. 

I underwent open heart surgery when I was 3 months old and I will be carefully monitored  by cardiologists my whole life. 

So here I am, almost fifteen years later. This foundation is a love letter to the pediatric care  community. I hope you will join me on this journey of  medical exploration and emotional support for families and children experiencing medical challenges.
